Christina Fisher, psychotherapist at Tyvenic

I am a BACP-registered, integrative psychotherapist based in Richmond and Chiswick. I work with adults, one to one, both in person and online.

Choosing to start therapy takes courage, and finding someone you feel comfortable talking to is essential. My aim is to offer an open, dependable space where you feel heard.

Training and experience

My foundational training is an MA in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Roehampton. This three-year, BACP-accredited course incorporated psychodynamic, humanistic, and cognitive behavioural approaches, with a central emphasis on the therapeutic relationship. Prior to my clinical training, I completed an MSc in Psychology from Birkbeck College, London and had additional training on understanding autism.

Since 2024, my clinical work has spanned both general community counselling and a specialist service supporting adult survivors of childhood abuse. Working longer term with clients across both settings has given me substantial experience in working with relational trauma and supporting people through sustained, depth-focused therapy.

I am a member of the BACP and practice within the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions. I receive regular clinical supervision from a senior practitioner and am registered with the ICO. I regularly engage in further training and study to develop my practice, including somatic techniques for trauma recovery and internal family systems (parts work).

Previous career and interests

Before retraining in psychotherapy, I spent 15 years working as a software developer. My curiosity about human experience, the nature of consciousness, and how we relate to one another led me to transition from technology into psychological work. I retain an interest in technology and artificial intelligence, and have conducted academic research exploring how technological developments interact with psychotherapy. I also enjoy reading science fiction and fantasy, walking, and exploring ideas in science and philosophy.
